Diamond

If we use a tool

To etch a picture on a rock,

Soon the tool will wear down

And become dull,

But in doing so,

The picture becomes clearer

Until there is no more tool left

Only the picture that it made

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The focus has become clearer

Our senses have become fine-tuned,

Sharp as a knife,

But common sense,

That which has been dulled

And sold to trickery of justice

That is the diamond,

The foundation which can

Cut through glass

The diamond can etch

A beautiful picture

On a piece of clear glass

And if the diamond becomes dulled,

Because it is the tool to etch the picture,

Then does the picture become clearer

Because the diamond is in it
