I did an extensive Bible study years ago (actually doing it again now with my youngest daughter and her husband), and I learned something that I had never heard before, namely, that our earthly death is actually a gift from God. Once mankind fell from grace, they had go away from God’s presence. In order to keep us from being separated from Him for interminably long periods of time, He bestowed the “gift” of relatively short lives, so that our souls can go to be with Him until the time of Jesus Christ’s return (and the eternal restoration of our bodies!) It’s challenging to see death as a gift, but we’ve all known faithful people who’ve done just that. St. Paul certainly did! ❤️
