Word of God

Art: The Holy Spirit by Waiting For The Word

The Bible is

The word of God

The truth

The kingdom of God

It is my salvation

It is everything

But it is nothing

Without he

Who brings it to life

Jesus Christ loved us first

He put us first

Before himself

Those he loved

Loved him before he was

And anticipated his coming

The God they loved

The God they did not know

He was not

Who they expected him to be

Before them all

I love him

I put him first

I put him before me

First my husband

Then I who followed

Forever his faithful servant

Mother of his children

Keeper of his heart

She who knows the truth

She who knows what love is

Because she is loved

By he who loved her first

Love conquers all

Genesis 3:16

“Unto the woman he said…and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.”

Love is not temporal

Love is eternal

Once we are loved

We are loved for eternity

That love never dies

The love with which he loved us first

Therefore eternally loved

St. John 17:23-24

“…and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me…that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou loved me before the foundation of the world.”

Living Soul

Genesis 1:7

“…and man became a living soul.”

A soul is not born

It comes into being

Two people ate from the tree of knowledge

Only two, and these two were never born

What fruit does the tree of knowledge produce?

All that we know now was in that tree

Passed down through generations

Like a parade

Until we reach a point

When we can say

I knew then what I know now

Her sin was her salvation

And no time has passed

From the beginning in the garden

To the beginning now

When the Word became flesh

Genesis 2:24

“Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh

St. Mark 10:8-9

And they twain shall be one flesh:  so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.  What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder.”
