Children of God

As children of God

We are placed into

The hands of the world

And when we come

Into the world

We are not known

The beliefs of our family

And our culture

Shape who we become

But beneath

What shapes us

We are all

Children of God

And we will become him

Like Christ did

Or we will become

Like the world

How the world

Perceives us

Is not who we are

I John 4:4

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

St. John 4:24

“God is a Spirit…”

Mother of All Living

Art: Formation of Eve by Ed Suominen

And all that God made was good

Except it was not good that man be alone

So God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man

And took from him a rib

And fashioned from that rib a woman

How long did that take

To prepare a wife for his creation

How long was his creation asleep

He slept until the woman

Was brought to him

To be his wife

Then everything was good

It is like Christ and his bride

That which has been prepared for him

A house in which all his children live

The mother of all living

Children of God

Just like we, as individuals,

Add character to this life

And certainly would not want to be a bunch of clones

Walking around looking at ourselves

When we have the power to manifest God

And therefore see him

In all the different people he is

How glorious and diverse his ways

Of creating a special place

For each of us

An intimate relationship

With each one of us

Capable of seeing he is the only one

And capable of knowing

This is all for us

What beautiful children

God has given me

And we love them all the same

Equally

One with God

How can we feel

What Christ felt

And likewise

How can he feel what we feel

To be human is to feel

To share emotions, thoughts, feelings

He shared this rapture with us

Of becoming one with God

Of becoming God

He wanted us to share that

And become God with him

To be there where he is

With him in his glory

We are his glory

His children

Until we become one with God,

As Christ,

We cannot behold his glory

He wants us to see that glory

See yourself—see Christ

See his glory in all mankind

When you see him

You become him

That is the glory

St. John 17:24

“Father I will that they also whom thou hast given me be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory, which thou has given me; for thou loved me before the foundation of the world.”
