From birth to death

We experience

The journey of life

But it is not a journey

Of time and distance

Because we don’t

Really go anywhere

It is a journey

Of transcendence

To our true Self

A becoming

II Corinth 5:16

“…Behold all things are become new.”

Original Sinner

She chose death

For death to her

Was life to Christ

No sin

No savior

No story

She was only

Doing her part

In God’s plan

Of salvation

Genesis 3:3

“Ye shall not eat it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.”

Matthew 16:25

“For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; and whosoever will lose his life for my sake, will find it.”

Thou Shalt Surely Die

When I die

I will be

But a memory

And that memory

Will live on forever

The physical being

And is replaced

With a memory

Of what once was

The mind

Has the ability

To remember

Or forget

But the memory

Is always there

Thank you, Life

For all the memories

They will live on forever

Love, Death

Genesis 2:17

“But of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”

Lord of the Living and Dead

Art: Vladimir Tamari

He came into this world

To take on death and sin

For he was not afraid of death

To give himself up to death

For our sorry souls

By giving himself to death

He brought life to death

And brought the dead to life

For by his death

Through his death

Because of his death

Many would come to life

Lord of the living

Lord of the dead

Romans 14:9

“For to this end, Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and the living.”

I Corinth 15:54

“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
