When our heart is
Free of desire
Then can love enter
And make its home
Love enters our heart
When it is empty of desire
Love enters a heart
That wants for nothing
St. Matthew 5:8
“Blessed are the pure in heart; for they shall see God.”
When our heart is
Free of desire
Then can love enter
And make its home
Love enters our heart
When it is empty of desire
Love enters a heart
That wants for nothing
St. Matthew 5:8
“Blessed are the pure in heart; for they shall see God.”
When the subject
Becomes the object
There is no more desire
The subject has achieved its goal
By becoming what it wanted to be
It was Christ’s desire
To become one
With me
St. John 17:21
“That they all may be one; as thou Father, are in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us.”
We cannot force
The divine within us
To awaken
We awaken
When the divine
Awakens us
When that within us
Comes to life
Literally
I was drawn
Into the divine
Not by my will
But by the will of God
And found in the divine
All my desires
Were fulfilled by that
In which I had no desire
Our deepest desire
Is to be loved
But first
We must love
But falling in love
Is not for the faint of heart
But for the brave
Those not afraid
To get hurt
Because there is always
That chance
But the courageous
Dive in anyway
To experience love
So I dared
To love another
And have been hurt
Deeply
Though not by love
But by the one
I mistook for love
+++++++++++++
Love taught me
Everything it could be
But love also taught me
Everything it is not
St. Matthew 5:44
“But I say unto you, Love your enemies…”
One does good
To stay forever
Joined to the spirit
His very self
So he never loses sight
Of who he is
Never loses sight
Of his true desire
Which is to know himself
To know that within
Who is Christ
