Object of Desire

When the subject

Becomes the object

There is no more desire

The subject has achieved its goal

By becoming what it wanted to be

It was Christ’s desire

To become one

With me

St. John 17:21

“That they all may be one; as thou Father, are in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us.”

Our deepest desire

Is to be loved

But first

We must love

But falling in love

Is not for the faint of heart

But for the brave

Those not afraid

To get hurt

Because there is always

That chance

But the courageous

Dive in anyway

To experience love

So I dared

To love another

And have been hurt

Though not by love

But by the one

I mistook for love

Love taught me

Everything it could be

But love also taught me

Everything it is not

St. Matthew 5:44

“But I say unto you, Love your enemies…”
