Second Coming

That which was
Came from
What it would become

But what it would become
Came after what it was

Now how could that be?

If what it was
Came from
What it would become
Then what it would become
Would have to come before–
Not after–
What it was

So how is it
That which
Came before
Comes after
St. John 1:15
“…He that comes after me is preferred before me: for he was before me”

St. Matthew 19:30
“But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.”

Circle of Life

In linear time

There are those

Ahead of us

And those

Behind us

But when we unite

And stand in a circle

There is not one

In front of

Or behind another

But rather

There is always

Someone

Beside you

Life is not linear

It is eternal

And no matter

What path we take

We will end up

Where we started

Revelations 22:13

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.”

The Beginning

From what point of view

Do we see things

From the end of time

Where we are now

On the outermost edges

We reflect back

To the beginning

And all in between

In the depths of time

We are the furthest yet

From the beginning

But can see it the clearest

Until we see all sides

Until all the facts are in

We cannot draw a conclusion

Until we have seen it all

We cannot make a judgment

Against the original sinner

She who was in the beginning

Where we are now

St. Matthew 7:1

“Judge not, that ye be not judged.”

Revelation 22:13

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.”

Second Coming

That which was

Came from

And what it would become

Came after what it was

Now how could that be?

If what it was

Came from

What it would become

Then what it would become

Would have to come before—

Not after—

What it was

So how is it

That which

Came before

Comes after
