Surrender does not mean
We lose something
For there is nothing to lose
But everything to gain
By surrendering
To the will of God
For in that surrender
We fulfill the will of God
By becoming one with him
Surrender does not mean
We lose something
For there is nothing to lose
But everything to gain
By surrendering
To the will of God
For in that surrender
We fulfill the will of God
By becoming one with him
The world is an illusion
When we overcome the world
We become one
With he who led the way
To being one with God
When Christ became one with God
He became God
He gave himself to God
To be one with God
He gave up his life
To take on the life of God
To experience Christ
We must experience life
It is through Christ we have life
So it must be through life
We have the experience of Christ
Of becoming one with God
St. John 14:6
“…I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
It is my life
The life I have lived
That brought me
To Jesus Christ
If it were not for the lights
Along the way
I would have traveled
On my path alone
Through the darkness
It is these lights
Christ placed on my path
That brought me to him
To become one with him
St. Matthew 5:14
“Ye are the light of the world…”
St. John 8:12
“…I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
St. John 14:6
“…I am the way, the truth, and the life…”
God does not tempt us
What Christ achieved is what we will achieve
Oneness with God
He demonstrated to us as an example
And those who follow him will meet him
He does not set perfection before us
Not to be achieved
As a temptation that we cannot have, teasing us
But sets perfection before us
And reaches out to meet us in that state
He becomes like us so we can become like him
James 1:4
“But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
I John 4:12
“…his love is perfected in us.”
I John 4:16-18
…God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect.. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear…”
St. Luke 6:40
“The disciple is not above his master: but everyone that is perfect, shall be as his master.”
No one is greater than Christ
Though Christ is greater than no one
He is not different than mankind
That who has taught me all I know
That which was here before me
There is no one greater than Christ
Likewise Christ is greater than no one
We are the same
There is no difference
I have followed one who is Christ
And he followed God
He became as God
And I have become as him
St. Matthew 10:24-25
“The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord…”
St. Luke 6:40
“The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.”
How can we feel
What Christ felt
And likewise
How can he feel what we feel
To be human is to feel
To share emotions, thoughts, feelings
He shared this rapture with us
Of becoming one with God
Of becoming God
He wanted us to share that
And become God with him
To be there where he is
With him in his glory
We are his glory
His children
Until we become one with God,
As Christ,
We cannot behold his glory
He wants us to see that glory
See yourself—see Christ
See his glory in all mankind
When you see him
You become him
That is the glory
St. John 17:24
“Father I will that they also whom thou hast given me be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory, which thou has given me; for thou loved me before the foundation of the world.”
