Living Soul

Genesis 1:7

“…and man became a living soul.”

 

A soul is not born

It comes into being

 

Two people ate from the tree of knowledge

Only two, and these two were never born

 

What fruit does the tree of knowledge produce?

 

All that we know now was in that tree

Passed down through generations

Like a parade

Until we reach a point

When we can say

I knew then what I know now

 

Her sin was her salvation

And no time has passed

From the beginning in the garden

To the beginning now

When the Word became flesh

 

Genesis 2:24

“Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh

 

St. Mark 10:8-9

And they twain shall be one flesh:  so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.  What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder.”

How do we see Christ?

 

Meaning do we see him:

As a father

As a brother

As a son

As God

As a teacher

As a spiritual leader

As a man

As the messiah

As the Creator

As one of the created

As the Word of God

As a master

As a servant

As truth

As love

As glory

 

Who is he to us?

 

He is all of these

 

But above all

He is my husband

My very soul

 

 

Genesis 2: 24
